The name "pyr" comes from the ancient Greek word for
"fire."
Pyr-Tech was founded in 1976.
Pyr-Tech became incorporated in Missouri in 1978 and in Illinois in 1979.
The Pyr-Tech Corporate Office is located in Collinsville,
Illinois. There are also five Resident Investigators throughout the U.S.
President Bill Buxton and Vice President Doug Brown (1969)
This agency has performed well over 12,500 fire and fraud investigations since its inception in 1976. Every year the strength of our reputation grows along with our yearly assignment total.
In 2007, Pyr-Tech, Inc. conducted a majority of fire investigations in Illinois, with nearly 400 assignments. More than 400 additional assignments were conducted in various other states.
