Origin and Cause Investigations
Pyr-Tech, Inc. specializes in origin and cause investigations of residential, commercial and vehicle fires. After receiving an assignment, one of Pyr-Tech's Certified Fire Investigators is promptly assigned to examine the fire scene. The initial steps in the investigation process include contacting our client and any other appropriate individuals. Arrangements are made to meet at the fire scene, where our Consent For Scene Examination Form is completed.
Our
investigators conduct necessary interviews and then conduct complete exterior and interior examinations of the
residence, commercial building or vehicle. Fire scene examinations are
enhanced by our fully equipped vehicles that carry the tools necessary
to conduct a complete investigation. Such tools include, but are not
limited to, portable generators, hand tools, specialized containers for
evidence removal and high resolution Nikon® digital cameras.
A verbal report regarding the origin and cause will be given to our clients as soon as possible following the scene examination. At that time, a summary report or full report will be offered to meet the needs of the client. If needed, a preliminary report of the investigator's initial findings can be issued.
If warranted, a detailed report is then issued in a timely manner. The detailed report includes a narrative, computer generated diagram, digital photographs and all supporting documentation related to the particular investigation. Detailed reports and all supporting documents can be e-mailed, sent as a hard copy, or on a digital compact disk. E-mailed reports are compressed in one PDF file for easy access. After the files are sent out, multiple digital back-up copies are made and safely stored at the Corporate Office.
