Mr. Peter F. Ahl, CFI
Evidence Supervisor/Training Officer
Mr. Ahl was born in Pennsylvania and began his career at the Union City, Pennsylvania Volunteer Fire Department in 1970. After moving to St. Louis County in 1978, Ahl joined the Maplewood Fire Department. He would become Chief Fire Investigator at the department in 1990 after earning his Certified Fire Investigator accreditation.
St.
Louis County awarded Ahl with the "Medal of Valor" in 1993 for
successfully rescuing and saving the life of an unconscious victim
during a fire. Ahl's credentials also include an Associates Degree in Fire Protection Technology.
Mr. Ahl has been employed at Pyr-Tech for over 20 years. During his time at this company, he has investigated numerous fires. He is one of two evidence technicians at the corporate office, as well as the Pyr-Tech Training Officer. Ahl is responsible for ensuring our investigators are certified, licensed and continuing their fire investigative education.
