Office Staff
The office staff is responsible for a number of important tasks at Pyr-Tech. These ladies are able to take new assignments, rectify any issues you may have and relay any information to the investigators, while they complete various other duties.
The office staff is available to accept new assignments 24 hours a day through our "Request Services" tab located to the left of this page. The assignments requested online will be inputted into our system and assigned to an investigator within minutes, when requested during business hours (7:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Central Time). Assignments received during the weekend or after business hours will be inputted and assigned the morning of the next business day.
Assignments may also be phoned in, faxed in or even dropped off at the office.
Mrs. Carolyn Brown Office Manager
Mrs. Brown, wife of Vice President Doug Brown, was born in Murphysboro, Illinois, but raised in Cahokia, Illinois, and moved to Collinsville, Illinois in 1975. She graduated from Cahokia High School and attended Belleville Area College, as well as Parks College of Aeronautical Technology. Mrs. Brown held various titles throughout her career in various types of businesses. This experience has brought a great deal to Pyr-Tech.
Brown's previous positions included acting as a liaison between management, branch offices, clients and departments. In addition, she was responsible for overseeing the daily operations and functions of the office, which was comprised of training development, supervision and motivation of subordinates, budgeting and client communication.
The knowledge and practice she gained from these arrangements ensured Mrs. Brown would play an important role at Pyr-Tech and guaranteed the accuracy of billing, documentation and reports. Brown joined Pyr-Tech in 1993 as part-time office staff. She soon was promoted to office manager in 1996. Her responsibilities at Pyr-Tech include hiring and training new staff, reviewing and approving key documents and issuing monthly billing summaries and late notices. Brown is also responsible for the computerization of many of Pyr-Tech's forms and databases. Throughout the years, Brown has also been active in community organizations, such as serving as past President of the Collinsville Business and Professional Women's Organization.
Mrs. Sarah Watkins
Secretary
Mrs. Watkins has been employed at Pyr-Tech for over ten years. In that time, she has been awarded "Employee of the Year" in both 2003 and 2005. She is registered as a Notary Public in Illinois. Watkins is responsible for many of the strategic processes developed at Pyr-Tech. She excels at rectifying, any and all, issues that may arise and works toward developing proactive responses to future matters.
Watkins is native to Collinsville, Illinois, but currently resides in Glen Carbon with her husband, Investigator Jeffrey Watkins, and two labradors, Coco and Trevor. In 1994, she graduated from Collinsville High School and attended college at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale the following year. Besides her dedication to Pyr-Tech, Watkins has a License in Massage Therapy and works part-time for a Chiropractor.
Mrs. Kristy Sherfy
Secretary
Sherfy was employed in February 2007 to help with our company's increasing case load. She graduated from the Staunton Community School system and continued her education at Patricia Stevens Career College located in St. Louis, Missouri, with a major in Secretarial Practices and a minor in Travel.
Sherfy's work history includes positions within the Illinois State Government and serving as Client Service Coordinator for a prominent tax accounting corporation. She has spent several years serving her local community through various fundraising events and working for the City of Benld, Illinois. Her
incorporation into this company has been incredibly beneficial, as she
is extremely qualified to provide our customers with exceptional
service. She currently resides in Benld with her husband, Bill. Her twenty-five-year-old daughter, Brittney, has moved to neighboring Edwardsville, Illinois and her nineteen-year-old son, Tyler, is serving in the armed forces.
